Simple High Protein Avocado Tuna Salad

As someone who thoroughly enjoys eating, I love exploring new ways to spice up (and healthify) traditional favorites in a way that both tastes AMAZING but also gives the body the fuel it needs to perform its best throughout the day!

My new favorite sandwich/toast/whateva you want to call it does JUST THAT.

The avocado provides a healthy dose of brain-loving healthy fat, the tuna alone packs in 17 grams of muscle building protein and the whole-grain bread provides sustained energy that keeps your belly and body happy for HOURS after lunch is over!

And don’t even get me started about the seasoning sprinkled on top of this already amazing combo! SIMPLE AVOCADO TUNA SALAD
YIELDS: 1 Serving

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 Avocado

  • 1 pouch Starkist Chunk Light Tuna (2.6oz)

  • “Everything But The Bagel” Seasoning - You can buy it on Amazon Here!

  • Lemon juice (to taste)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Cut avocado in half, remove flesh of avocado from fruit and place in a small bowl

  2. Using a fork, mash the avocado to desired consistency

  3. Empty tuna pouch into bowl and mix with avocado (BOOM, there is your simple tuna salad)!

  4. Spread tuna salad over two pieces of your favorite whole grain bread (I like to toast mine first) then top with Everything But the Bagel Seasoning!

  5. Eat and enjoy!


I like to serve this open face sammy with a side of fruit and a half cup of cottage cheese!
